1931:  Hawaii Tribune-Herald, December 17, 1930, reported that plates

       received for Hawaii County were dark blue, not black as ordered.

       Another article on January 5, 1931, stated that they were sent

       back and remade, but "Those with new cars applying for a number

       plate will be issued the old numbers from 26,700 on up."

       White/Dark Blue #26-783 seen.  Final plate ordered was #27-000.

       Honolulu's order also incorrect - #50-000 seen in Honolulu

       Star-Bulliten photo on December 13, 1930, with "HONOLULU", not

       "HAWAII".  The entire order of 33,000 pairs was wrong and had

       to be scrapped and remade.
