1975-79 BASE:  Olive, green or unpainted back, tall county dies

Monthly Staggered Registration began 1982 for 12M trucks only,

expire "FEB 83" to "DEC 83".

Truck plates discontinued 1988.  From 1988 to 2018, passenger

plates issued with appropriate weight/use sticker at bottom

(1989-2001) or in LR corner (2002-18).  Starting 8/15/2018,

"FARM", "LOCAL" or "6000" screened in LR corner directly on

plates issued from regular passenger series on demand.

1924:     Vertical "TRUCK" suffix.

1951-55,  "KANSAS 51" top, vertical "TRUCK" after county code.

1961-79:  (1961-88 also have two sticker bars instead of slogan)

1980-81:  "TK" in UL corner, no month abbreviation.

1982-88:  No marking except sticker bars, no month abbreviation.

Stickers 1976-2018:  "TRUCK" marked.

System changed 1956 due to new truck law.  Only Farm trucks were

issued weight tags 1956-60:  6M, 8M, 16M, 20M, 24M, 24+M.

12M added 1958.  All other trucks required to paint gross weight

on each side of vehicle, thus no weight tag issued.

1958-60:  2M, 2+M are Trailer tabs.

(4M seen 1957, may be 2+ Trailer class)
