Colorado: Home

Colorado started automobile registration and state-issued plates in 1913.  The iconic 1958 skier design was used for only one year, but its size created a myriad of numbering configurations that collectors are still unraveling.  The Rocky Mountain outline first appeared in 1960 and remains popular today.  The earliest of the two currently valid base plates began issue in 1977.
