ALASKA

City ordinances in Juneau, passed in 1914, and Douglas, passed in 1915, required the registration of motorcycles as well as automobiles, but it is not known if a separate series of plates was issued to them.  But as of May 1916, when Juneau changed their ordinance to require pairs of plates, separate motorcycle plates were being issued, although none havne been found to date.  Juneau continued to issue automobile plates as late as 1932/33, so it seems reasonable to conclude that motorcycle tags were also issued.

Motorcycles were not required to be registered with the Territory of Alaska until January 1, 1932.  For the first ten years from 1932 through 1941, motorcycles were merely issued passenger plates!  Actual motorcycle plates were first issued in 1942, as singles, and known plate numbers range from #M 23 to #M 600.
