1934-35: Official highway map sent with plates.
Chicago branch office began 1934 and, through 1960, issued the odd
hundred thousand blocks such as 300-000 - 399-999, 500-000 - 599-999,
etc. Towards the end of each year, blocks were filled in statewide
so as to not waste plates. The exception was in 1943, when the
downturn in registrations resulted in leftover plates, reissued as
Montana 1944 plates. 1946 #1681 747, 1956 #3000000 also seen.
