About This Site: ALPCA

The Automobile License Plate Collectors Association (ALPCA), formed in 1954, is by far the world's largest license plate club, with about 3,000 members worldwide.  Members of all ages enjoy the fraternal aspects of sharing a common hobby together.

ALPCA publishes PLATES Magazine every two months, in February, April, June, August, October and December.  At about 60 full-color pages, the magazine contains articles about many different kinds of plates, national and regional meet notices and reports, and classified ads to buy, sell and trade plates.

The club also maintains an official website which features up-to-date club news and information, as well as the ALPCA Archives, an online resource which aims to show an example of every kind of license plate ever issued by every state and country, along with the information known about it (viewable to club members only).

Every summer, ALPCA holds an annual convention in a different U.S. city, lasting four days and drawing an average of 400-500 collectors.  This is license plate heaven for anyone who has ever attended one of these extravaganzas!  The club also sponsors numerous regional chapters, which hold several regional meets around the country.

Dues are $46 per year for 1st class mail service (US), $36 for 2nd class, and $20 for Juniors (under age 18).

If you haven't joined yet, please visit the club's website at www.alpca.org to learn more about the club and how to join, or you may contact the Membership Secretary directly at: secretary@alpca.org  You'll soon agree it was the best decision you ever made to further your license plate interests and your collecting activities!
